The ASTM International committee on carbon black (D24) is sponsoring the Workshop on Carbon Black Standards Used in China, Oct. 31, 2018, at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou, China.

The workshop will the focus on the ASTM International technical standards used prominently in China’s carbon black industry. The fourteen standards that will be covered during the workshop have been adopted as national standards in China.

The morning will cover the areas of carbon black structure, surface area and related properties, and non-carbon components of carbon black. The afternoon program will focus on carbon black pellet properties, sampling and statistical analysis, and testing in rubber. The workshop will conclude with a summary discussion and address issues identified where the committee can assist the industry through the standards development process.
